Nana Asatiani Plays the Debussy Clair de Lune

by | Apr 30, 2013

Nana Asatiani plays the Debussy Clair de Lune.

Musings from Nana Asatiani, Amateur Pianist

“Clair de Lune is a wonderful melody to listen to, but it’s even more wonderful to play. It brings out a sea of emotions in me. It gives me balance and peace, and it also energizes me, and these emotions guide my playing. I know when to get loud, quiet down, or stroke and pat the keys. So you control the tune by your feelings, and when you finish playing, you feel alive, invigorated.”

Told to and translated by Nini Bitsadze.

Absolutely beautiful! You play this piece with great emotion. I’m learning Clair de Lune now and I hope to play as well in many, many months. Congrats!
